Congratulations to our newest Karaoke World Champions 2005, Rachel Browne (female category) of Ireland and Iyad Sfeir (male category) of Lebanon. The event was a tremendous success again in Finland with representation from 19 different countries!

Betcha you’ll thoroughly enjoy Dan Blau’s better half Pamie extolling the virtues of Karaoke Revolution Volume 3 with her superbly written article “Pamie interrupts to totally agree”. We move along to bring you “Hitting the high notes: courage and a sense of fun bring karaoke singers to center stage” graciously provided by The Blade of Toledo.

Essential that you check out our “Most Hilarious Karaoke Experience” winning entry submitted by Michael Valentino. Mr. Valentino immediately requested the donation be sent to the American Red Cross on his behalf. Our prayers are with all those directly affected by Hurricane Katrina. The only really positive thing about such a catastrophe is how everyone pulls together and realizes our whole purpose in life is in helping others.

Again updated our Ontario karaoke listing to ensure you are not disappointed when you go out to sing. As we’ve pretty much exhausted our Canadian vocalists whom we’ve been catching up with, we decided to move south of the border to find out what these tremendous vocalists are up to.

These phenomenal U.S. singers include my all time favourite singer, Bob Seger, Tom Petty, Madonna, Patti LaBelle and Billy Gilman.

With just 4 more competitors remaining in Canadian Idol, the excitement is building as we anxiously await whom our next Canadian Idol is gonna be. Auditions are also about to begin in the U.S. for the 5th season of American Idol which we don’t want you to miss.

Above all, we wish to thank you, the reader, for your constant support and encouragement in making the “Scoop” such a success. We have applied to the Canadian Magazine Fund to help us fund a printed version of the “Scoop” which we’re very excited about. If successful, our first printed issue will be available November 1, 2005. As always, all submissions, suggestions, etc. in improving the “Scoop” are gratefully accepted.
